WAYS TO COMBAT DIABETES

The agony felt by a diabetic patient is beyond imagination. However, there is always a way out of this situation. You can overcome diabetes without resorting to the use of medications. Medications, other that filling up the coffers of pharmaceutical companies, only act to torture your body organs including the kidneys and liver. They will help to lower blood sugar albeit temporarily at a cost, not only in monetary term but at the expense of your body organs. And remember you have only one life to live! And when you succumb to diabetes, the usual -died of old age- will resurface again and again.

Three basic methods which I always emphasize to people to prevent or to terminate diabetes and thus overcome the agony of diabetes are:

1. Focus on the quality and type of diet that you consume. When you consume the correct diet, quantity does not matter. What you should regulate is the carbohydrate intake. Reduce or no sugar at all as this will jeopardize your diabetes control. Fats and meat have no restriction for as long as you exercise and burn them, it would not cause havoc to your diabetes control.

2. Exercise is a requisite to combat diabetes. Exercise will sensitize your body to insulin which will then act to normalize blood sugar. Exercise will keep your body weight under control and will not burden you heart in keeping pace with your daily activities. Brisk walking for half an hour daily is one good habit. It not only burn the calories but also change your mood for the better. You will feel happy, energetic with a sharp mind.

3. Take supplements to reinvigorate and re-energize your body which is being consistently bombarded by medications and free radicals which accumulate as a result to insults to body cells by diabetes and medications. The main supplements that I recommend are:


a. Multivitamin and mineral tablet once a day


We have a trillion cells in our body and they need food in the form of vitamins and minerals. Energy production in the body requires the specific vitamins and minerals for the Kreb's cycle. Its just like owning a car. If you just fill in the gas without topping up the other 'minor' requirements like engine, gear and brake lubricants, your car will not last long. In addition, for example, the mineral chromium in multivitamin tablet is a blood sugar balancer. It also has an impact on aging, heart disease and high blood pressure.


b. Omega 3 Oil

In addition, EPA and DHA in omega 3 oil keep blood platelets from clumping thus prevent the clot formation that could cause a heart attack.


c. Evening primrose oil


This found to be very beneficial for diabetes control. Diabetes can cause the undesirable nerve damage in the long run. The GLA in evening primrose oil helps the nerves to heal thus denying diabetic complications from setting in. other uses include healthy skin and overcoming dryness.

It is high time you take care of your own life because life is too short and we should not become the victims of the pharmaceutical fraternity. A good book to overcome diabetes.
